Dr. Bahadur Singh Bisht

Dr. Bahadur Singh Bisht, Ph.D. (Thermodynamics), Managing Director of MIET Kumaon, has obtained his Ph.D. degree from Kumaon University, Nainital, and Joined as Lecturer (Asstt. Professor) on 21-11-1972 at Govt. P. G. College Gopeshwar. He is a man with an extraordinary perception of a better tomorrow for each student who enters the premises of MIET through the provision of the best possible resources one could ask for. Worked as Joint Director of Higher Education, Uttarakhand looking after the directorate of higher education of Uttarakhand and as such helped to improve the condition of all the colleges and visited half of the total colleges and structured plan for their augmentation and earned good fame for the works done. Worked as Sector Magistrate, Zonal Magistrate, and Presiding officer in the general elections of parliament and legislative assembly.

It is true that the strength of MIET lies in his grit & determination, the forceful support by his excellent subordinates, and the overall study orientation through multi-development policies that have distinctly made MIET a name brightening up in progression each year.

Dev Bhoomi Background

MIET Kumaon has been established by the Dev Bhoomi Foundation, a trust incorporated for the sole purpose of furthering higher education in Uttarakhand.

The trustees of Dev Bhoomi Foundation are well known for their philanthropic efforts in the fields of primary education, higher education and medicine. Over the past three decades, they have set up several Engineering Colleges, Schools of Pharmacy, Business Schools, CBSE-affiliated schools and hospitals in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology, Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut Institute of Technology and MIET CCS Campus are institutions managed by the trustees via their other trusts and societies. MIET Kumaon Haldwani was established in 2011 under the aegis of MIET Group of Institutions Meerut, which is working since 1997 in the field of education. MIET Kumaon Haldwani is affiliated with Kumaon University, Nainital,Affilated to Hemwanti Nandan Bahuguna Medical University, Dehradun and Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani Uttarakhand.
