150th anniversary of the national song “Vande Mataram”

The 150th anniversary of the national song “Vande Mataram” was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at MIET Kumaon College of Paramedical Sciences, Shiksha Nagar, Lamachaur, Haldwani, on 7th November 2025 at 10:00 AM in the college seminar hall. The theme of the program was “Karaoke with Vande Mataram – A Spiritual & Patriotic Ode to Mother India.” The event was organized under the guidance and inspiration of Dr. B.S. Bisht, Managing Director of MIET Group, and Mr. Tarun Saxena, Director of MIET Group. The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a heartfelt karaoke rendition of “Vande Mataram” by the students. The entire hall echoed with patriotic spirit as everyone joined their voices in tribute to the motherland. The song, composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1875, stands as a timeless symbol of national pride and unity. Students presented patriotic songs, speeches, and cultural performances, reflecting India’s unity in diversity and love for the motherland. Teachers also actively participated, adding to the grandeur of the event. In his address, Dean Academics, Mr. Sandeep Saxena, appreciated the efforts of all students and faculty members, emphasizing that such events strengthen the spirit of nationalism among the youth. Dr. B.S. Bisht and Mr. Tarun Saxena congratulated the organizing committee and participants, stating that the celebration would serve as an inspiration for the younger generation. The program concluded with the National Anthem, marking a deeply emotional and inspiring moment for all present. The 150th anniversary celebration of “Vande Mataram” truly became a symbol of patriotism and cultural pride.
